FAQs
Below is a list of frequently asked questions. Please feel free to get in contact using the contact form at the bottom of the page if the below information does not answer your query. Please give us five days to answer your query.
What is the Covid19 policy?
We are now working to the government's 'living with Covid' strategy. This means all restrictions & guidelines have been lifted. We remain a mask friendly venue and will continue to have santiser available throughout the building.
Please note this means we have reverted to our normal terms & conditions which can be found here. Tickets are non-refundable in the case of you choosing not to attend for Covid related illnesses or otherwise & refunds are only applicable in the case of the gig being cancelled with no reschedule offered.
Do age restrictions apply on attending?
We allow young adults of 14+ to attend our events, accompanied by a responsible adult. It remains the responsibilty of that adult to ensure that attendee does not consume alcohol throughout the evening and our bar staff will not serve anyone that looks under 18 without valid identification.
Is there disabled access?
We have ramped entry and an accesible toilet for all guests that need it. If you need any further assistance please let our staff know and we'll be happy to help.
Seating
In 'normal' times all seating is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. The exception to this is for VIP members and customers with additional support requirements. Doors open at 7pm and there is plenty of seating in RR1 should you wish to give those dancing feet a rest during the night. We do ask that you refrain from moving chairs into the performance area.
Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling.
In 'normal' times all tickets are non-refundable. In Covid times our policy with refunds and rescheduling is as follows; where a gig has to be moved due circumstances including but not limited to: a change in the Tier of restriction we fall under, a full lockdown, band or staff being required to self-isolate (so that the gig is no longer operationally possible) we will look to reschedule for as soon as is feasibly possible and tickets will be automatically transferred to that date. In the instance of a ticket holder being unable to attend that date we will issue a credit note. If a gig is cancelled with no option to reschedule we will refund your ticket.
Why is there a transaction fee on tickets?
As part of the relaunch of The Rec Rooms website we decided to move all our ticketing to Eventbrite. Eventbrite charge a small transaction fee per ticket, which is standard among all ticketing platforms. None of the fee goes to The Rec Rooms.
When does the gig start?
Doors always open at 7pm & we encourage you to join us for a drink and one of our renowned burgers before the show. There is plenty of seating available to relax and start your evening on the right foot! As a general rule of thumb main acts start at around 8.30-9pm and tend to do two 45 minute sets, so with an encore the bands are usually finished around 11-11.30pm. We do have a late license so you are more than welcome to carrying on enjoying the evening with us.
