We know how much you have been loving our post-lockdown comedy nights and due to the dreaded ‘C-word’ our numbers for each event are limited, so we have a little treat for you. Going forward we will be running two, yes that’s right TWO, comedy nights a month. The acts are getting bigger but the limited table numbers are staying the same so as always if you want to be there you need to secure your table FAST!
So, without further ado, we present to you the line up for the Rec Rooms Thursday night comedy:
Closing - Mark Watson
Middle - Roger Monkhouse

Middleish - Lily Phillips

Opening - TBC, we’re securing the very best so check back soon!

Mark Watson:

We don’t think Mark needs much of an introduction but here we go…Mark Watson is a comedian and novelist, whose extensive TV appearances have included Time Trumpet, Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Nevermind The Buzzcocks. He has been a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit since he performed his first show in 2002, the year that he won the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Competition and was runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny?

Roger Monkhouse:

Roger Monkhouse is one of the most original and distinctive acts on the comedy scene. A consummate stand-up who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience. A highly original and quirky performer, Roger’s trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit.

Lily Phillips:

Lily is one of the most exciting up and coming voices in comedy in the UK. She is a Funny Women 2018 finalist and has already filmed for Comedy Central online. Check her out here.

Opener TBC:

We have some pretty exciting names up our sleeve and will let you know as soon as we have a confirmed name.

As per the previous comedy night ‘post-lockdown’ we are selling tables which hold 6 people. Tables will need to be purchased by a group of family or close bubble friends & it will be table service where food and drink can be ordered at your table, you can check out our menu here.

You will receive an email with details of the night and the measures we haven place to keep you and our staff safe closer to the event.

Tickets £150 in advance (covers admission of 6 close friends and family)

Tom Houghton:

Tom grew up on Military barracks all over England, Germany and Northern Ireland & went to boarding school in the depths of Cumbria from the aged 6. For 9 years he was part of an improv comedy group called “The Noise Next door” & he’s now “riding solo” and currently living in The Tower of London.

“I’m a bit of a posh twat. Like, I’m from a very posh background. I’m trying to be humble about it, but it’s hard. Over Christmas I woke up and someone had put an ice skating rink in the moat!”
